Happy Easter!
Well, Easter was a couple of days ago already, but we haven’t had time to write. We had a lovely day!
Phoebe had her first bath at home (a sponge-down over the bathroom sink) and wound up with that adorable fluffy bird hair that babies get when they’re clean.
Then she went to church for the first time and slept through the entirety of a very nice worship service that included Beethoven and Handel’s Hallelujah Choruses. She didn’t even wake up for communion when I took her out of the carseat. She welcomed her many admirers with nonchalance, still asleep. It was great for Mommy and Daddy to be there too, to celebrate with our church family.
After church, we got together with our YABS friends for an Easter potluck. Lots of good food and even more good desserts. We lined up all of the babies for a photo—what an attractive group!
On Easter afternoon, Mommy and Daddy watched a couple of bad comic book movies on TV (Elektra and Daredevil) and then the really good Championship game (although we were rooting for Baylor). Aunt Erika called and said that she was having trouble really seeing what Phoebe looks like from photos, so this one’s for her:
And a video of Phoebe wiggling:
I’ve been trying to capture a yawn for a week!
For Daddy: see my head bobbing to the beat of the washing machine?
Grandma and Grandpa Hazelton arrived late on Monday night to snuggle and change the baby. So that’s what we’ve been doing all day today!

Yay! Thank you for the almost naked picture…now I can really see her! By the way, she is adorable, in case I hadn’t mentioned it! I also enjoyed the videos. Wiggling and head bobbing are far more entertaining than Elektra and Daredevil. I can say this with complete certainty because I’ve watched them too. After our conversation on Sunday I felt compelled to add new pictures and a video to FB for you. There are more to come (they were on a different memory card). Give Phoebe a hug for me!

Oh, she’s adorable! I love the videos… you can really see her chubby cheeks. 🙂 The row of blonde babies also cracks me up. Too cute!

Congratulations! I have been checking regularly to see the pictures. She is wonderful! I can see both of you in her and she looks so happy and healthy. Keep those videos coming, too, since I don’t know when I will ever get to actually meet her.
