Halloween
Phoebe had two Halloween costumes this year. Grandma Hazelton bought a duck outfit while Phoebe was still in utero. It’s a bit on the strange side, but I think it’s adorable. Then there’s the dragon, which you’ve already seen because she wore it for Boo at the Zoo (see A Wonderful Visit).
We went to an afternoon Halloween party thrown by some friends, all of whom I met while working at Rowman & Littlefield. None of us work there anymore, but we’ve kept in touch. Henry is 17 months, Sylvie is 14 months, Micah is 9 months, and Phoebe is 7 months.
Saturday morning at the coffee shop:
At the party:
We didn’t get any video of it, but Phoebe and Micah had a friendly scream-off. “Aaah!” “Aaah!” After a couple of trade-offs, it became apparent that they were aware of each other’s screams. It was a fun party and the food was terrific. On Sunday, which was actually Halloween, I took Phoebe over to Brenda and Michael’s. Brenda had mentioned something about decorated cookie bars…plus I was dying to put Phoebe into the duck outfit. As you’ll see, it can’t be buckled into the carseat, so I had to put it on once I took her out of the car.

That duck costume is awesome! Jess, your verbal description didn’t do it justice. Looks like Phoebe had a very fun first Halloween.
Great Grandma JoAnn
Oh Jess she gets more adorable every single day. (Just like her mommy used to be).
I spend lots of time on the Log and thank heaven for it every time. Even get to see pictures of the rest of the family too.
But oh Phoebe is just BEAUTIFUL.
Love you all very much. Gr.Grandma & Grandpa
