Happy Halloween! – Gribblog

Happy Halloween, everyone! This year, Phoebe dressed up as a pink and purple mermaid, and Benjamin was a minion from the movie Minions.

The kids had parties and parades at school on Friday, and on Saturday we joined our friends the Brinkmans for our annual pizza dinner followed by trick-or-treating. Phoebe’s daycare friend Fritz and his parents joined the festivities. The kids had a great time, and the weather was amazing for walking around the neighborhood—in the 50s. Benjamin did his best to keep up with the older and faster kids (including Sarah!). He was so polite; he said “hi” and “thank you” and “bye” at all the houses. The kids ate plenty of candy, and the grownups raided their bags and buckets for treats that go with beer. All in all, another successful Halloween.

In the afternoon, Phoebe learned how to make vinegar cucumbers all by herself. Here she is with the cucumber she’s just sliced.
