Tuesday, March 22: Around Town

On Tuesday, Dave and I left the kids at the apartment watching Netflix and went for a 5-mile run, making a long loop around town. I was only able to keep up with him because I’d so recently been at altitude! We spent the rest of the day walking around town with the kids. We saw a lot of street art, including an artist working on a big painting on a building. We stopped at a wonderful bakery/coffee shop in a really neat neighborhood, where Dave and I had cappuccinos and the kids had pop: orange Fanta, B’s favorite, and Sprite for P. Phoebe wasn’t feeling very well, so she ended up going to bed pretty early. Benjamin and I went to the park by ourselves, and he found a dog to play with. The dog’s human didn’t seem to speak a lot of English, but they worked it out, and Benjamin was in his element throwing sticks for the dog to bring back.
