February Photos

We’ve had a few extremely cold days this month. On February 1, it was so cold that all the area schools were closed…including Phoebe’s daycare, Take-A-Break. Alas, Dave and I still had to go to work, so I packed up a bunch of toys and Phoebe’s diaper bag with plenty of food, and took her with me. She was very good all day, and my coworkers were delighted to have her visiting. Still, she’s a baby, and she made a mess of my office!

On February 13, the Gribbles went to a “senior prom” at church. It was a fundraiser for the youth group, complete with snacks and great oldies music. We all dressed up for Valentine’s Day. Phoebe was still sick, so her little cheeks matched her pretty dress.

After about a week, Phoebe started to feel a lot better, as you can see below.

My mom arrived on February 17 to visit for a few days. We hadn’t seen her since October, so we were really looking forward to it. Dave left for the weekend to go ice climbing, so we had a girls’ weekend. Mom and I played with Phoebe, watched some old movies, and took Phoebe to the Butterfly Pavilion and the WOW Children’s Museum, which is only two miles from home. I took a few butterfly photos that turned out well. You can see the complete update in my mom’s guest blog post.
