Snow Day

Last night we learned all about the latest techniques for conjuring snow: wearing your pajamas inside out, placing a spoon under your pillow, and filling the toilet with ice. Apparently this is what our schools are teaching our children. Jess asked if it mattered which way you positioned the spoon, but Phoebe’s babysitter Elaina didn’t know. Regardless, it seems to work, as this morning we awoke to discover that all three of us were indeed going to have a snow day! After we all got our showers and pulled on some warm clothes (actually it isn’t very cold out today) we headed out to shovel out the driveway and play in the snow. We later trekked over to Santiago’s for breakfast burritos and to Mojo for a cup of coffee. I think we’ll make a snowman when we get back to the house. Here are some pictures from the cleanup for your viewing pleasure.

Here I am shoveling. This is from before I got too hot and had to strip down to the tee shirt!
Phoebe is still helping! Hey, it's starting to get boring and cold.
Wow, it's fun to eat snow too.
