The Past Week

I got so excited about Phoebe’s haircut, I neglected to tell you about the rest of that day. It was an exciting one! The weather was glorious, and we had the idea that Phoebe’s feet might finally reach the pedals of the tricycle we’ve had in the garage for more than a year. She’s been growing quite tall lately. When I picked her up from school a little early a couple of weeks ago, I saw her pedaling their tricycle around the playground, so she definitely already knew how to ride. Sure enough, her legs reached the pedals, so we headed out to the playground. Boy, is she speedy on that thing! Benjamin rode along in the Chariot, and both kids seemed to enjoy the day. Plus, we got to try a new coffee shop—there’s a new coffee roaster that also sells drinks near our house.

Here’s Phoebe riding over to the playground.

And Benjamin practicing holding onto his rattle.

Benjamin had some bottle to finish up, so Phoebe wanted to help.

I'll help!
Here, drink this!

Phoebe messed around in the living room while Benjamin sat on the couch (against the back) without tipping over!

I went to check on the kids and found them both sound asleep, thumbs in or hovering near their mouths.

Phoebe has had her new haircut for a week, and everyone loves it. Here’s some video from the big event.

Yesterday (Saturday) Marin and Charlotte Bronski came over for the day. We had a lot of fun! Waffles for breakfast, art projects, running around in the snow, snack, lunch, a failed attempt at a nap. (The three girls were very cute in their sleeping bags, even though they didn’t sleep.) Unfortunately, I was so busy hanging out with them, I didn’t take a single photo!

Today it snowed all day, so we hunkered down at home. Dave and Phoebe made a snowman, and Phoebe was allowed to watch a kids’ show featuring the characters from Cars (a very special treat)!

Daddy adds the finishing touches. (Thanks, Uncle Matt and Aunt Erin, for the snowman kit!)

Thanks for all the videos….both Phoebe and Benjamin seem to grow to fast! Tomorrow Benjamin will be 5 months already! Less than a month and Phoebe will be 3. How is this possible.
