Just a Few Things

On March 3, Benjamin moved up a room at daycare. He’s now in a class with kids who are walking, even though he’s still crawling and cruising. His teachers, therapists, doctor, and parents all thought it would be good for him to be with kids his own age instead of crawling on top of infants all day.

When we got home from band on Thursday night, we saw a Magnadoodle picture on the table. “Doing some more drawing?” I asked the babysitter, Alex. “Phoebe did that!” she said. She’s been excited about her friend Isabelle’s birthday party, so I guess it inspired her to draw the two of them together. Dave and I were amazed; we had no idea she could draw people with bodies!

It’s hard to keep track of both kids when we’re getting ready for school in the morning.

Dave went to hear a concert tonight, so the kids and I had pancake night (pancakes for dinner), and I bought Phoebe a little finger soccer kit. We had fun with that for a while. Then Phoebe worked on Isabelle’s birthday card while Benjamin learned to climb onto the coffee table. (He’s not allowed to do that, but I did have to take one video of it to share with you. That’s called inconsistent parenting.)

Yes, it is very hard to get upset when Benjamin was feeling so accomplished! Glad to hear he has moved up a class. Love to hear Phoebe giggle, and to see her artistic abilities, wow!
